FleckneyFest 2009
It's official 2009 will see the launch of Fleckney Fest as a Music and Performing Arts Festival.
There will be a week of events that will commence on Sunday the 28th June and will run through to Saturday 4th July, which will be the Main Event with an Open-Air Music and Performing Arts Festival @ The Rec.
Throughout the week we are looking to promote the creative talent of Musicians, Dancers and Performers from all across Leicestershire by featuring them at one of the events either throughout the week or on the Main Stage or Performing area at the Main Event.
With this in mind, we are looking to create media and press partnerships to help us make this event a success and also to promote a) what Leicestershire has to offer and b) The Community Spirit of Leicestershire.
We are looking for press and Media organisations who are willing to assist us with publicity for the event. We are also looking for Press and/or Media organisations who may be interested in putting their names to one of the elements of the Event eg The Jazz Night or The Main Stage or Performance Area. We are hoping to pick up sponsorship along the way to help us run the event and are looking for any assistance in achieving these goals.
We also are looking for any volunteers that would like to join the organisation committee for this event and welcome anyone to attend our next meeting which is being held at the Fleckney Sports Centre, Fleckney Recreation Ground, Leicester Road, Fleckney o the 20th August from 7.30 pm. All are welcome.
We would be grateful if you could promote the concept and meeting for us in some way and also help that you may be able to offer us support with the event.
